Northern
Evia, consists one of the most interesting and accessible
regions of Greece, approachable in every way and for all the
Greeks.
The
ferries of Aedipsos - Arkitsa (access at the 150th km
of the highway Athens-Thessalonikh)
and
Agiokampos – Glifa (access at the 280th km of the
highway Athens-Thessaloniki),
make
northern Evia a short destination for the Athenian, as well
as the resident of northern Greece. The route schedules of
the transportation mean, especially during the summertime,
are very often, and so they are very convenient for the
grate number of Greek and foreign visitors of the area. At
this point, we must point out that a third ferry has been
inaugurated in northern Evia, since 2004. It is the one
joining the gorgeous beach of Lichada to Agios Konstantinos
against it.
For
those, who mostly come from Athens and southern Greece, it
is preferable to arrive in N. Evia just by road, by crossing
one of the two bridges of Euripus. Then they simply have to
follow the picturesque route of Chalkida - Mantoudi -
Limni - Aedipsos - Istiea (120 km).
The
internal traffic road system of the area can be considered
satisfactory for the needs of the seasonal visitor, who
wishes to come acquainted with the secrets of N. Evia.
We
also have to point out that, among the other advantages of
N. Evia, lays the fact that it is adjacent to the islands of
N. Sporades (Skiathos, Skopelos, Allonisos). The contact of
our enchanting Aegean islands with the ports of N. Evia
(Pefki, Oreoi, Aedipsos a.o.) is regular, especially over
the summer
