connected as much with the ancient as with the modern
brown-coal mines. The much-frequented Aliveri an
all-time trading pass, is the county town of the
Municipality, which is accompanied by the ever-green Gavalas,
the
picturesque Karavos, Tharounia, Trachili
and many more villages.
