To the south, we find the historical Municipality of Drakospita. Stira,

the naval force of the Persians wars, is today a very touristic area with a lot of interests.

Almiropotamos, Mesochoria, Kapsala, Nimporio are some of the villages from which it is composed. As the narrowest part of Evia, the Municipality of Stira has the advantage of having many and splendid beaches, as much on the side of Evoikos as on the side of Aegean.
