Ano
Vathia, the scenic Gimno with its taverns, Kalithea
and Setta, are villages that one has to vi-sit, along with
the monuments of this interesting region. We have to note
the latest discovery of a cave of great importance
near Setta, which will soon be available to the
visitors.
But
lets line up briefly some places are worthy of paying them
a visit, from the region of Amarinthos.
Old
chapels of Amarinthos. It is about the two out of
the 6 chappels, which were on the hill of Paleoxora
during the Byzantine years.
Monastery
of Agios Nikolaos of Amarinthos. It is about a
nunnery, renovated in the '60ies. It is located in a
distance of 8 kilometers away from Ano Vathia, on the way
up to Kotileo.
Tower
of Gimnou. Venetian tower at the board of the village.
